As far as time can tell, they have existed. The records of their history pre-dated those to even humans. They shared the planet, co-inhabiting a home that was dominated first by their race with one far less superior. They lived in peace.

Today, the library shelves bear no novels with the spines engraved in their languages. You'll find not a trace of their ancestors who tilled the grounds of our countries. They vanished some time ago. The stories and truths of the men who transformed to animals faded to myth and legend as the generations forgot them.

Long since erased by the people who share their faces, these shapeshifters live and lurk still in the corners of our Earth. Though, no longer free and embracing their nature, the remnants of the species reside across the globe in secrecy.

Malina Mallory awakens without a single memory of who or where she was. It was the same story for the others who found themselves within Sicuro Academy. Determined to find answers and herself- Malina and her newfound friends will stop at nothing.

Will they ever know who they once were? And why that person was erased?

Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi

With an inkling for adventure, they enter, only to emerge in a world straight out of a fantasy novel, a country called Alysia.
