Alina had a pretty much perfect life. Until she moved to a new town called Freedstein. The name was a bit odd, but that wasn't all; The kids at her high school all act weirdly as well. Then, the creator of an already super popular virtual reality game releases a new one.
They call it, The Game. Alina had no intention of buying or playing it, but after finding out that other people at her school love to play it, she gives it a try.
What she doesn't know is that it changes her life forever. . .

My life turned upside down when I was 13 My father was murder right in front of my eyes by his own brother My mother betrayed me and my father When I was 13 I was thrown in a cell and haven't seen the light since 5 years later I was finally let out of my cell And was told I had to fight for my life ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the war that destroyed mostly every thing in America, in order to survive three major cities were built to help restore what was lost. Until one day his brother killed him in cold blood and locked Victoria up in a cell. When she turned 18 she was offered a deal. Each year Alancia holds a fighting tournament for public display. The biggest and the baddest fight in this tournament and barely make it out alive. She has to fight in this tournament and if she won she had her freedom back. If she lost she would loose her freedom once again. Victoria knows she can't pass up this opportunity up. Even though she would be reminiscing old memories And meeting someone who can ruin it all Whatever the cost is she is willing to fight. I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up.
