Begin to End

It was freezing cold that night; the night everything fell apart. Cities abandoned; left to rubble. Over a billion dead, their bodies reverted into monstrous creatures so hideous it was unable to tell they had ever been human. People dreamt of an apocalypse, but never like this. The human race began to end.
