My mother use to tell me stories about princes, princess and monsters. Her stories fascinated me, no matter what love always triumphed over evil. There was always a happy ending. They made me believe that no matter what I to could live happily ever after with my prince or princess. But I soon realised that life doesn't work that way. I began to see the world the way it truly was, a never-ending nightmare. I realised that those fairy tales were just that, fairy tales... or so i thought...

When I was a little girl, I believed in fairy tales. I believed in princes and princesses and knights in shining armor. I believed in forever and happily ever afters. I was ten when reality hit me. My mom brought the evil home with her and there was no escaping it. That's when I learned that fairy tales were just that: fairy tales. The bad stuff is real, though. The difference is that I now know that the monsters and evil villains don't always wear capes and ugly scars. No: most of the time, they appear normal. I'm drowning in reality, in my life, and I've given up hope that a knight in shining armor will rescue me. But maybe... maybe I don't need a Prince Charming after all. I have already had enough coldness and dictatorship in my life and the last thing i needed was another person adding to it. He was the epitome of frigidity, capable of freezing you with a single glance. I despise dictators and the chilling aura they bring. And I absolutely despised him. I couldn't stand him one bit.
