When you hear the word "pets," you think of cats and dogs, or hamsters, right? Well, in this world, that word carries another meaning-- "humans." What if the world didn't belong to humans, but to giants? What if humans were nothing but "intelligent animals" in the eyes of their superiors, learning to be frightened of them and to be submissive and groveling, trying to play it cool and sweet, and being obedient just to survive? How does it feel to live in this kind of life; what struggles lay within this society? Open the book to continue, to read about a young character named Jason, and follow his tale as a human pet in this mystical fantasy world.

Matthew, an unemployed bum, barely making it by. Messing up old relationships and failing in life, being desperate for work he threw his applications everywhere. Somehow landing a position as the CEO's personal assistant. Not one previous applicant had even got accepted. Though, something is indefinitely odd about the woman. To his surprise, the CEO turned out to be someone he recognized, a Doberman girl from his old high school. Way back when, she was only a shy, nerdy overachieving, top student, with a hint of a teacher's pet. Now, she's the backbone of a renowned tech company. Back then he always harbored a crush on her, despite about everyone mocking him for liking her, them being "lab experiments" or some damn propaganda. Fear of rejection kept him silent. But now that timid girl he once knew is a cold, aloof, and brutally blunt woman. (First attempt at a story, the first few chapters suck in my opinion, please give criticism.)
