The reason is simple ─ it gives a plethora of information about the candidate to those who are hiring. A well-defined work history section aids employers in understanding and evaluating a candidate's career trajectory and relatable experiences. Also, whether the candidate could be a possible cultural fit can be easily gauged from this part of the resume.
