Have you ever took the time to ask yourself, what is the meaning of life? Who is it that dominates life, if anybody? What is your purpose in life, specifically? A majority of persons out there may reply to this question with some deep, complex response; but really, the simple answer is that nobody knows, and there is chance that nobody ever will know.

Life could be anything, life might not even be real. After all, fiction is categorized as unreal - fake even - but how do you think the characters feel about that concept? I bet they think they're pretty real; well, as real as you and I think we may be.

How about this, what if everything in life is just a dream? A figment of your imagination? A little, teeny tiny piece of fiction entangled with all the thoughts and all the wonders of the world....or what if life is really one, big, impenetrable game.

⚠️ ACTIVE ONGOING WORK ⚠️ What is a "normal kid"? You wouldn't know. You don't know. So you wonder, what makes someone normal? If you look it up, the Japanese dictionary defines "normal" as something common, something that can be found anywhere, anytime, without any special characteristics that set it apart. But does this apply to people? Is normalcy a matter of probabilities or familiarity? In our society, are quirks part of individuality or a commune trait? It's always difficult to come to a concrete conclusion when all you have are vague terms that can't be applied in every situation. Everything is too easy to bend and distort. Everything is too relative. A Hero could be a villain, a Villain could be a hero. But the one thing you learned isn't relative, is death. Because the dead can't come back. So you keep living to make sure everyone remembers it. --------- β€’ Word count average of β‰ˆ 10 000 words/chapter β€’ Written in 1st POV β€’ F reader insert β€’ No love interests established yet β€’ Updates every 2-4 weeks β€’ Story's (Spotify) playlists in my bio: Prologue -> πš‚πš˜πšžπš—πšπšπš›πšŠπšŒπš” πš—πš˜. 𝟺𝟸𝟢𝟸 Main story -> 𝐀𝐒𝐇 πˆπ‘πŽπ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 ππ‹πŽπŽπƒ General playlist -> π”…π”©π”¬π”¬π”‘π”–π” π”žπ”©π”’
The Mechanics of Us by ashes_of_tributes
40 parts Complete Mature
Human DNA is composed of stars. Stars that have been broken down into nanoparticles that have dispersed themselves throughout the universe; they harness the energy of the cosmos and transitively embedded their limitless potentials in every fiber of conscious existence. Logically, there has to be a reason then as to why life was given to those on Earth. Why humans were given such divinities from the universe. After all, the saying goes, "everyone was born for a reason," meaning those born with unworldly energies must have been given life to fulfill an unknown purpose that is greater than themselves. We are only given a certain amount of time in this world to live up to our given potential because, just like the stars, humans also fade away. A star's glow is a result of a series of chemical reactions that are housed at its core. Similarly, our lives are like a series of chemical reactions, vibrant, unpredictable, chaotic. They only last for a certain amount of time before the limiting reagent is used up in its entirety, ceasing the continuation of spontaneity. All of us have a limiting reagent, a chemical that is used up first, which then halts the chemical reaction and stops its continuity. And unfortunately, some of us possess a more powerful limiting reagent than others, making their chemical reaction burn out quicker than others. In this society, when your time is up, it is up, there is nothing else to be done. Any form of medication or medical intervention that was not created naturally by the Earth is frowned upon. That form dilutes the existing energies and manifestations of limitless potential. It makes those who use it less than and, in a way, tainted by the inconveniences of man-made alterations. However, grief can push some to go extra lengths to make their chaos continue even if it is just for a little bit longer.
