A lone, young woman awakens from ice, surrounded by the long dead. She escapes and runs from Vault 111, avoiding the suburb nearby. She is injured and near death by the time Nick Valentine, having recently evaded Skinny Malone, finds her. Seeing as the doctor in Diamond City should probably be committed, he escorts her to Goodneighbor. Once there and she has been fixed up, Mayor Hancock lets them stay in the State House. Then they find out just how special this frail woman is.
