He falls into a depression, but when he suddenly spots Astrid flying away, and hearing her story, he wants to prove he doesn't need protecting. He wants to be recognised for what he's done for Berk. But will Berk accept that Hiccup can protect himself? Hiccstrid! Takes place in the middle of the Riders of Berk series.
