I gave the best of myself to someone who didn't have anything to lose. I didn't know how to avoid my lover's toxic and abusive flames. My lover's twisted words were like a maze inside of my head that I couldn't escape. Sadly, my lover's actions hypnotized my thoughts and paralyzed my thinking. The Silent Melody
The world is loud. There are those who make no sound. Billions of people on the planet, some make no sound, some hear no sounds, and some don't see what's making the sound. Humans take their voice for granted, they don't realize what it's like not to be able to say what you're thinking. Humans don't realize what it's like not to be able to listen to the world. They don't realize what it's like not to be able to look at the stars and see the beauty in the sky. I can see, I can hear, but what I can't do is speak for myself. My own silence is deafening. *Pardon my word choice.* I've never been able to speak, as soon as I was able I was sent to learn ASL (American Sign Language). I was then sent to regular public school and I love it, the sounds of the students talking. Being able to be a regular person, well, as close to regular as I can be without talking. My name is Rosalyn, I've never breathed a word. Silence is easy when all you can give are ASL signs and not many people understand them. I'm just like everyone else. I have a celebrity crush. I have a favorite book (It's Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen). I have a favorite color (It's a silvery blue). I have a story to tell just like you. I get made fun of because I can't speak.
