I was born into a war.

A war driven by anger, hatred, and above all, desperation.

We are a single species, an entity, but yet, we are not whole.

We are divided, split, torn apart and pieced together in a way no one can understand...

But I can. Because I am one of the chosen. I am Starborn.

It was a normal day before everything went up in flames. A nature research facility exploded, covering the town in a thick cloud of purple smoke, turning every bug and insect into giant mutants out for blood. People ran every which way as the world we once knew went down in flames. Blood filled the streets as the ones left only watched in horror as their loved ones got eaten alive. Five groups of survivors-that's all that was left of the once overflowing town. The new Humanity group, the new government and law enforcers. God's Saviours, the ones who think they are chosen by God himself to create a new world. Mother Nature's group they are the ones planting new crops, living off the gifts Mother Nature provides for them. Scavengers, the protectors, the ones not afraid to stand face to face with danger. They kill the mutants and go outside the gates to collect stuff from the outside world. Then there are the Traders; they buy stuff from the Scavengers, trading it with the other groups for other goods. If you want something, ask them and they will get it for you, but only for the right price. They try and build a semi-normal life. But will the survivor ever restore the humanity of their beloved town? Or will this fragile new order be built on the same vicious power structures that defined the old world, the one that was controlled by the mafia? When the legendary assassin, The Red Serpent, re-emerges from the shadows, their presence threatens to shatter the peace. The Humanitarians send their most dangerous enforcer, Jackson Stone-a cold-hearted killer driven by his own dark secrets-to hunt them down. He only finds himself drawn to the one he was told to hate. In a town drowning in monsters and blood, the real war is about to begin between the leaders who crave power and the killers who crave each other."

This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? Let's wait and see. --------------------------------------------- "Get on!" Leora screams at Ardyn. Extending her hand for her to take. "No, I'm not getting there I hate ships." I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up. They call us beasts. Monsters. They say we burn their civilization to the ground. They call us demons. Creatures that plaque the earth. We are the devil to their species, as they are to ours. They are human, after all humanity overrides everything. They are brought to this world with too much knowledge, too much understanding. They received the greatest and most dangerous gift of all. They received dominance. The ability to make others feel weak. The ability to patronize and fool others while feeding their own selfish needs. They received the ability to be cannibals, to be able to kill each other. They used it against us, turning our strong race of noble dragons into creatures of evil and disgust. We are monsters to their eyes, as they are to us. We may have burned their villages, eaten their livestock, and fought their armies, but both side lose in a battle, even it's not the battle itself. They have infested our earth with their humanity, they have driven their swords through my kinds children, and they have dissected us to cure their greatest flaws. Their mortality.
