Katelyn (Katie) Samuel is a member of a long line of proud Gryffindors. So far back that her family is rumored to be related to Godric Gryffindor himself. Being a Gryffindor is what the Samuel family prides in. So when Katie is sorted into Slytherin, all hell breaks loose for her. She is shunned by her family and the entire school is looking at her in a different view. All for the exception of two Hufflepuff girls, Naomi, and Jessica. Together, they become the new misfits of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Even though the three of them are close, the shame of her family causes Katie to feel a type of darkness she never knew she had. Can Katie stay in the light? Or will the Slytherin House claim another Dark Witch of their own?
