Sam and Dean have just moved to Idaho all the way from South Carolina. Their father is away most of the time and when he is home, it means more beatings for Dean. Ever since he came out as gay, Dean has had those nightly beatings to look forward to as soon as his dad comes home. Not to mention that Dean hasn't spoken since the beatings started about three months ago. When they start school, Dean is constantly bullied as "the speechless kid" by the football team. The only reason he is still around is to care for his little brother. Everything else is a waste. But one day, after a "session" with Crowley and the football team, one of the boys stays back to help him up. A boy with the most captivating blue eyes, the brightest smile, and raven black hair.
Castiel is the definition of cool, popular and suave. He is tip of the class in academics as well as the starting quarterback and captain of the school football team. Every girl wants him and every guy wishes to be him but he won't have it. He doesn't date, insisting that he has no time, and instead focuses on his future. Castiel's dream is to one day be a doctor-Being able to help people when they can't help themselves and nothing and no one will slow him down or distract him from that goal. That is, until he joins his football team for lunch and sees the boy they always talk about. The silent boy with bright green eyes, glossy brown hair, and the most charming smile. One more thing. Castiel is totally straight. Or so he thought.

During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of. This story is about Dean and Sam Winchester moving to a new high school in Kansas and they meet Castiel and Gabriel Novak. Can Castiel and Gabriel help Sam and Dean get over their trust issues? Sam and Dean had a lot of bad things happen to them because of their sexuality but the worst things always happened to Dean because he wanted to protect his baby brother. Dean and Sam's parents were accepting of their sexuality and after the figured out that Sam and Dean got bullied, Mary, John, Dean and Sam both moved to Kansas to start a new life. John works as a mechanic full time with his son Dean, who works part time. Mary works at a hospital as a nurse and Sam works at a library stacking shelfs. Castiel and Gabriel on the other hand had it good with their sexuality. Everyone at school was very accepting with their sexuality. They never got picked on and their dad, Chuck, and brothers were very accepting even if they came from a religious family. Dean became a selective mute after when of his old classmates threatened him, saying if he every talks again he would hurt his family. He has never talked to anyone since he was 14 years old only to his little brother a couple of times. Dean only communicates with his family by using sign language. Sam has always been shy with people and always wanted to be alone and only talked to people he trusted.
