This story is inspired by the song, Too Many Feeling by Ruel. Reid transfers to a new school after a quiet, complicated past, hoping to lay low and keep to himself. But he moves next door to James-cool, confident, and taken. What starts as a random walk to school slowly spirals into messy hallway glances, quiet moments that shouldn't mean anything, and feelings Reid doesn't want to admit. Especially when James is still dating Hailey and doesn't even seem to notice him like that... or does he? As Reid begins to settle into the school-building friendships with Jake, William, and others-he keeps getting pulled into James' orbit. The tension builds slow. Jealousy brews. Misunderstandings explode. And all the while, Reid is forced to confront what he feels, what he fears, and whether it's worth it to want something so complicated. Because sometimes the feelings are too many, too messy, and way too hard to ignore.
