Aliana Donavan is Matt's younger sister, after her mother left their family and Vicky turning to drugs Aliana had to leave and start a new life, where she lived in New Orleans and met Marcel. After becoming friends with the "King of New Orleans" Aliana helped marcel restore the city to its former glory thus becoming the "Queen of New Orleans." After being turned by Marcel Aliana has become a vampire however due to having a strong powerful witch in her bloodline Aliana became a hybrid as a witch and vampire to keep her bloodline continuing allowing Aliana to have children. Having heard of the trouble in Mystic Falls Aliana travels home to visit her family with promise to come back after two weeks.
