Some years ago I had a strange morning and the only reasonable explanation I could come up with involved multiple universes and interdimensional beings. Well, reasonable for a fiction writer. The result was "An Interdimensional Day in the Neighborhood", a rough draft of which was published on my blog. Since then I've continued thinking about strange things happening to Lucy, about the return of Joe, and about Lucy's neighbors. I've been making notes, jotting down scenes and plan on doing more with these characters, gathering all of it together under the title "Suburban Strange". "An Interdimensional Day in the Neighborhood", is a complete story. I'm looking forward to continuing the strangeness with more installments in the future.All Rights Reserved

"Natsu please... Pull yourself together!" Lucy screamed. Natsu looked at Lucy, then away. "Please Natsu, don't let him control you!" Natsu now looked at lucky with anger. "Lucy watch out!" Shouted Gray. Erza launched towards Natsu, but when she swung at him he grabbed it then sent her flying backwards into into the wall of metal. "He's so strong..." Gray said in shock. "Looks like he was strong enough to take out Erza with one hit! It's amazing because she's a S-Class wizard." Lucy's blood went stone cold as Natsu faced there direction. He stood there for a few seconds, then his expression turned evil. He started running towards Lucy with incredible speed. Gray noticed this and right when he was about to hit her, Gray stepped in front taking the hit. Lucy rushed towards gray and kneeled beside him. He managed to let out a few words before loosing conciseness. "Your the only.... One... Who can save him." Tears were falling from her eyes. She nodded and stood up. "Natsu, I will save you."

Lucy wakes up in a hospital. Only, no sound waves are vibrating in her ears. She's deaf, and the pink-haired guy sitting to her right saved her.
