Robert Lang just moved into the High Rise. The first party that he goes to, he meets Cassia Royal. The architect's daughter.
She is a sheltered girl. Her autism made her different to the occupants. But her pure innocent beauty made her intriguing. A challenge.
Robert instead of being attracted to Charlotte or Hellen, he finds an attraction to Cassia. She predicted trouble in the High Rise. But they thought her crazy.
Robert is so intrigued by Cassia, that he tries to spend as much time with her. Not even minding the fact that if he can get her special attention, it could lead to another marriage.
But when the war broke out in the High Rise, will he be able to protect her?
