The platform was filled with bustling pupils, fetching their trunks and hooting owls, searching for their friends.
Two boys stood together silently in the midst of this commotion, gazing upon this scene.
They already had their trunks, and no magical creature to speak of. Friends to find? No.
All they had was each other.

Always light the candles
We are too drunk and he is too close and even though we are in a room full of people, we are too alone. -------------------------- Notes: This fan fiction is dedicated to people who have experienced loss, people who were bullied, who struggled with their sexuality and or their race. People who use humour as their coping mechanism. People who feel like outcasts and freaks. People who fell in love with their best friends. You are not alone. You are Albus. And this is our story. It is also dedicated to grief, for showing me the true price for love. And most importantly dedicated to my one and only best friend. This story would not have seen the light of day, had our paths not diverged and our friendship not quietly scattered to the winds. In the closing of chapters, I made sure that the echo of our promises that we once held were not just words, but something truly heard. I will never not think of you during storms. Make sure to leave your thoughts and enjoy ;) This story can be also found on Ao3.Complete
