Summer Fling: Surf It

SUMMARY:
Lucy Smith is invited to go on a vacation to California with her best friend, Penelope Walter, where the beaches are known to be legendary. After a day of anticipation, Lucy can't wait for the chance to not only escape her drunken father, but to also experience surfing for the first time ever.

But when Lucy meets a few bumps on the road and a misconception at the beach house, her spirits are slightly sunken. However, when she has a terrifying near-death experience on the beach, what she has been trying to avoid happens to come round; the chance for a summer fling.

EXCERPT
Groaning in disgust, I plugged my nose, pinching it together with my forefinger and middle finger. Here I was, during the most coveted holiday of the year, stuck in a gross and pungent-smelling truck filled with sweaty guys and metal rock music blasting from the speakers.

Terrible, I know right? Well, I suppose I can only blame myself for this terrible situation that I was in the middle of. You see, it all began like this...
