The future USA is a dark place, for those living in the ducts anyways. America is divided in two: "The Skyline", which is a brilliant, Utopian city above ground, inhabited only by the wealthy and famous and surrounded by large thick walls. Then there is "The Ducts", as referred to by the Skyliners. It's real name is The S.C.M, which is an acronym for: Subterranean, Controlled, Metropolis. It is a massive cone shaped structure that lurks below The Skyline. It stretches 100 feet underground and is inhabited by the lower class citizens, known as "The dwellers" which have no access to the Skyline or the earth's surface. It is strictly patrolled by the government's "Watchers" which are law enforcement soldiers that have clearance to shoot misbehaving dwellers on sight. Living conditions in the Ducts are very poor and it's inhabitants are miserable, maximum wage is five dollars an hour and resources for survival are limited...
