Inspired by the original Dragon Age Inquisition fan fiction that I've been writing, welcome the novel Child of the Rift, a story that follows Dawn in her own unique story. Darkness descended upon the Kingdom, a mighty King fell to the magic as it tore at the veil, releasing beings beyond what those of the lands could comprehend. Upon the day of Dawn's birth, the day that the rift began, she was the vessel needed to avoid the destruction of all life.

In the city of Veilrest, where shadows breathe and nightmares walk, power is a curse disguised as a gift. The once-glorious kingdom has been rotting from within, its throne left vacant after the royal bloodline was slaughtered in the dark of a moonless night. Now, the land festers under the rule of a nameless tyrant-one whose face is never seen, only felt in the whispers of the cursed and the screams of the vanished. Kastor Veyne never wanted to be a hero. With a metal-forged leg replacing what was lost to Veilrest's cruelty, he's learned that survival is the closest thing to victory. But when a prophecy names him as the rightful heir to the Hollow Crown, he's dragged into a war of monsters and gods-one he never asked to fight. By his side is Silas, a rogue with ink-stained hands and secrets older than the kingdom itself, and Lysara, a necromancer with a grudge against the living and an even greater hatred for fate. As Kastor unearths the city's buried horrors, he discovers that the Hollow Crown is not a throne-it's a prison. And the only way to break free might be to embrace the darkness he's spent his whole life running from. But power always comes with a price. And Kastor is about to learn what it means to lose everything.
