85 years ago in United States over 5,000 people fell mysteriously "ill" then disappeared without so much as a hint that they ever existed. People blamed it on everything from their own government to secret terrorist actions. Whatever happened has been mostly forgotten...or silenced. People always forget, especially when they are encouraged to. Forward to present day, a young waterman named Jacob discovers a very strange metal box while crabbing and soon discovers it is much more than just scrap. While finding his own purpose in life, he finds out the box's gruesome part in death and deception. He knows he must search for the way to not only make sure people know the truth, but also prevent another event of even greater proportions.

"I hate everyone." "Except me, right?" "No, especially you." ⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻ It's funny, isn't it? So for him, it's no problem. But can a group of four just as tormented teenagers change his perspective? ⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻ "Genies grant three." "I'll take three." I shrug. "Two." He bargains. "Three." I say sterner. "One." He couldn't look any more relaxed. I almost take up his earlier offer on two. Almost. I'm still too stubborn. "Five." I cross my own arms, covered in dirt. "I-" He stutters, "You're going backwards."
