This is a story of friendship and love in high school. Written for a Filipino project, this has been given a Sarswela twist.
What is a Sarswela?
In the Philippines, the sarswela is a play with songs and dances usually written in prose, containing from one to five acts, depicting the vagaries of romantic love among idealized Filipino characters, and often incorporating contemporary social, political, economic or cultural issues for relevance and interest. (Tiongson, 2012)

Professor x student I'm here at the field, watching the girl I love na nakaluhod habang nakalahad ang singsing sa babaeng umiiyak dahil sa saya. Ako dapat yan eh. "Will you marry me?" Tanong ng babaeng mahal ko. "Yes, Ash! I will marry you!" Sagot ng babaeng patuloy na lumuluha dahil sa saya. Isinuot na ng babaeng mahal ko ang singsing sa babae, at doon nagtagpo ang mata namin. Ang dating matang puno ng pagmamahal kung tumingin sakin, ngayon ay balik sa walang emosyon. Ang sakit. Pero naiintindihan ko siya, in the end I will still understand her.
