We met in school. We were each other's greatest competitor. We were not fond of each other. But as the months passed by, we started to know each other, we had shared a couple of back stories as we worked on our group presentation. We became friends, then close friends, and then after a year, we became lovers. But just when I thought that everything was in their right place, my biggest downfall came. After our third anniversary, he started to become cold. He no longer joins me studying, he was even reasoning out that he's tired all the time and that he couldn't send me home. I said it was fine, I can manage. I thought it was just that, but it wasn't. I decided to confront him, I went to his condo and there, my greatest fear welcomed me without warning. He was with a woman, a pregnant woman. He was holding her like she's the most fragile thing on earth. They looked so happy. I didn't know how I managed to compose myself and walked towards them. As soon as our eyes met, he froze. I looked at the woman tensely and lifted my hand as I introduced myself as his classmate and she introduced herself as his girlfriend for a year, already. He said he loves her more. That every time we are together, his mind was with her. He said I make him hard, but she makes him weak. He said I make him feel special, but she makes him feel loved. Remember me? Few years ago... A night to remember. On a shallow road, with a seemingly never-ending rain pouring down heavily, and streetlights barely illuminating the place, silence seemed so right. It was an almost empty road but with two people. Few light rays hit them, making their silhouettes visible from afar. Drenched under the rain, the girl was standing like a statue. And in front of her was the boy, her long-term boyfriend. Her soul mate. The one she had been waiting for. But what is this? He smirked, finally breaking their silence. He told her 'it's over' so quickly, like they just played a game and she lost. He called it quits between her, and walked away without regret. His face, his gestures and his words were like spears stabbed into her soul. He didn't care. And being left alone, her shoulders shook and she covered her face with her hands as tears finally escaped from her eyes. Her knees felt numb and suddenly, she knelt down, still crying. Can you still remember me? I ask you this question. I was that girl few years ago. A fool, naïve girl who still believed that you're the one of the million. That I'm destined to only one man, a prince charming, and I believed it was you. But all of those were few years ago. My thoughts were changed. I began looking forward to an early death. I was taken aback when he pulled me, losing the balance I stumble on my tracks and with his strong pull I land on his chest. I immediately push myself back when he snakes his arm around my back making me unable to move from his grasp. We were so close now that my front was almost touching his making us look like hugging. He lowers himself and says "If you have a death wish then go ahead. The moment headquarters hear that you're no use to them, they will kill you without sparing a glance at you". Reverence This story depicts the story of two individual from different sides of the world who falls hardly for each other. If one is fire then the other one is water, making it next to impossible to meet at one point. Our male protagonist 'Aron' is smitten with our female protagonist 'June', however he doesn't show his emotions fearing that it will make him look weaker. He carries a strict and scary aura around him which makes people think that he is a ruthless person. On the contrary he is quite the opposite from inside. And our female lead carries a carefree nature who doesn't care about anything but herself. She is a savage quick witted person who can do anything for her own survival if required. When these two polar opposites crosses path with, we can expect a lot of drama and action, eventually seeing these fall for each other. Adrien had gotten into one of the biggest arguments he had ever had with his father, leading him to run from his home as his alter ego, Chat Noir. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust. Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that. It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity. They would play video games and eat food from the bakery. But what happens when something happens to Marinette that makes her break? Marinette has no where to go so Chat decides to be that place. I worked for longer than anyone could imagine... Just for it to come to this... No matter what I do... Nothing is ever good enough. Maybe this is my place in life. Maybe this is just my destiny: Failure. - Gazing into the mind of an antagonist who's drive for success led him down the wrong rabbit hole. A man living in the shadows of a broken world. Though maybe the world wasn't broken. Maybe it was just him all along. Maybe the broken world broke him too, and if everything's broken, it's perfectly fine, right? Mostly following the plot of Spirit Tracks, through Byrne's eyes, and his desperate attempt to gain power for a reason misinterpreted, though probably understandable. I've put my own original turns on this every now and then, as one would probably expect, but it's not romance, none of that hopeless crap. But rather, a thin line of grief and denial. Exchanging one life for another. Of course however, in the end... Is it really Byrne's mind? Or another? It's debatable, depending on how technical you'd want to get... It follows memories, feelings-even conflicting ones. I don't write to impress people, so don't get your hopes up. I didn't start proof reading until after Chapter Four, so prepare yourself. The story, being carried in first person, I tried to put emphasis on one's head. I don't think there's too much drama, I wanted things to at least make some kind of sense... But, alas, everything is just a perspective, for each of us. I don't think I'm right, but I don't think I'm wrong. We don't really know what happened, so I suppose that's the beauty of freedom. We can theorize whatever we want. - If you enjoy my story, don't be afraid to drop a vote. Touch that star, it's free and doesn't cost you anything. (I've rewritten the entire story multiple times over the course of several years... I swear... I think this is the one. This is it. I can feel it in my ancient soul and withering mind. It may not be perfect, but it makes due.)
