You get given a locket when you turn ten. This locket dictates your soulmate, who you spend the rest of your love life with. The be all and end all of your love life. Once you find them, a bond starts. When they are happy, your happy, when they are hurt, you hurt as well. The locket gives you signals when you and your soulmate are close, and when you ultimately kiss, it seals your fate, and you are together forever.
Apparently.
What they forget to mention is that it's not set in stone. Soulmates can split, and find others, and then the process starts again. It's never going to be set in stone. Picture perfect one minute, shattered and broken the next.
But all's fair in love, right?
