William (Will) is a dreamer. He can dream things into creation, but never out. So, he carries the burden of a trapped dreamer, pouring his heart into other things instead. Such as his art and his books. One day, Will dreams up a boy named Sage. Soon things become complicated and Will becomes frantic to make sure Sage doesn't break like all his other dreams. Will may be special, but is that enough?
