Lynn had been a vampire for two months when Farron showed up. Those two months had been spent agonizing in a cave trying not to kill anyone. Will she be able to fit in with the odd group? Will she have to run away again? And what happens when she suddenly develops feelings for Farron?
 In a novel with an awkward new vampire, a grumpy and blunt werewolf, a surprisingly sweet (if a little superficial) werewolf girl, a hipster witch, and a sad boy with pretty eyes and a demon trying to devour his soul, you'll find humor, romance, adventure, and probably far too much darkness and angst. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows. To top it all, she was turned by one of the most powerful vampire leaders in her city and must also learn how to parade around in vampire politics.
