Cinder [A Vampire Novel]

Lynn had been a vampire for two months when Farron showed up. Those two months had been spent agonizing in a cave trying not to kill anyone. Lynn had never expected to be hurled into a world of vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, Fae, and so on, but suddenly there's a whole other side of life than she ever expected. Farron, her first "friend" (if friend can mean someone who is only ever hostile), has a brother- a brother possessed by a demon- and needs Lynn's help to save him. Joined by an unfairly hot female werewolf named Shea and a judgmental witch named Dakota, the group sets out to find Gilder, the Black Witch of Montana, in hopes of saving Farron's brother from an ancient demon; but what will happen to Lynn? Will she be able to fit in with the odd group? Will she have to run away again? And what happens when she suddenly develops feelings for Farron?
In a novel with an awkward new vampire, a grumpy and blunt werewolf, a surprisingly sweet (if a little superficial) werewolf girl, a hipster witch, and a sad boy with pretty eyes and a demon trying to devour his soul, you'll find humor, romance, adventure, and probably far too much darkness and angst. But if you're into that sort of thing, you might actually like this.
