I was born elsewhere, and brought to the planet Earth by beings of extraordinary power. I was granted the gift of power that rivaled their own as a young child. Unbeknownst to me, eleven other children had been picked at random. Then, one day, without explanation, we were all planted separately into society. 

No longer did we live as gods and goddesses. We were immortals living amongst the humans with only fading memories of our days amongst the stars. In our time with the mortals, we forgot altogether that we'd ever been above them.
