DISCLAIMER: This story is in no-way canon to the storyline of Battlestar Galactica. However, very thin information about the period is available.

It is nearly twenty years after a First Cylon War. The wounds are still being treated as you are reading this. However, the colonial militairy has made significant improvement since then. One of those improvements is the Valkyrie-Type battlestar, of which the first was the Battlestar Valkyrie. These Battlestars were only slightly smaller than the Atlantia-Class (Galactica) but had significant firepower and DRADIS-cloaking hull plating, allowing to conceal its presence untill visibly seen. This gave a huge role to the DRADIS, which now also had an active and passive mode.

Battlestar Valkyrie, under the command of Commander Herald Garcia, has been sent on a mission on the edge of the habitable zone, close to the sun of the solar system for experiments.All Rights Reserved

Inca also leapt from where she was, cut the creature's mouth with one side of her sword, chopped his entire body in two pieces and went down on her feet to the ground.

The Irinaut became valuable quite quickly, having found no spore infection visibly on him. The team had one job, obtain and return the creature alive, but they would soon come to find out that the cargo would be more difficult to transport than they thought.
