Broken Unity

DISCLAIMER: This story is in no-way canon to the storyline of Battlestar Galactica. However, very thin information about the period is available.

It is nearly twenty years after a First Cylon War. The wounds are still being treated as you are reading this. However, the colonial militairy has made significant improvement since then. One of those improvements is the Valkyrie-Type battlestar, of which the first was the Battlestar Valkyrie. These Battlestars were only slightly smaller than the Atlantia-Class (Galactica) but had significant firepower and DRADIS-cloaking hull plating, allowing to conceal its presence untill visibly seen. This gave a huge role to the DRADIS, which now also had an active and passive mode.

Battlestar Valkyrie, under the command of Commander Herald Garcia, has been sent on a mission on the edge of the habitable zone, close to the sun of the solar system for experiments.
