The responsible is no other than the Loch Ness monster, and in order to get help, Heather has to get to Edinburg and the Guardians. The Guardians are responsible for the safety of the Shadowworld, the descendants of dragons and the oddest people Heather has ever met. With her keen sense of what is proper and correct, she don't know what to make of the Guardian's lack of manners, and can't handle miss Victoria Valentine's decision to wear a kilt instead of a floor-long dress. As a matter of fact, she can't handle Victoria at all. Apart from her male dressing, she'd obnoxious, hot-headed and a more than competent fighter - everything a young lady shouldn't, and she's constantly the cause of Heather's embarrassment.
