He's totally not being forced to gather information on the League and act as a distraction so Ra's can complete his newest world destroying device. Pffft. Neverr. 

He is, however, secretly feeding Batman and the League information about said device. And did I mention he also escapes to save the lives of the ones he loves? Even though they totally handled themselves and he just really needs to believe in them more-ah..
