For Ali her life has been simple. Stay out of his way and he won't hurt you. Growing up in a broken home filled with abuse, Ali wants more for herself. After the passing of her grandmother she finds herself drawn to Nick, living a similar lifestyle they become friends. When a romance sparks between the two, complications seem to ignite. Trying to protect the one you love has never come at a higher cost.

After being paired up for a huge class project, will the mysterious 'bad boy' and the abused girl end up together, or will the abuse become too much to handle? -------- This was a short story I wrote for my creative writing class, and thought I'd share it here!
