Growing up without your parents is one thing, but growing up on the run from their mysterious killer is a whole new game.
    
    Maddie and her brother haven't slept with both eyes shut since they were toddlers, but the force behind their parents' supernatural demise has caught up to the young Inhumans at last, and with the creation of the world's first successful clone, Lina, a long-standing plan for an unstoppable army is about to come to fruition....
    
    An unforeseen bump in the road seems to set Maddie on the path to freedom and a new life with a team of heroes, but an unexpected quest and a brush with her clone almost appear to be part of her captor's plan all along. 
    
    When future and past become impossible to untangle, the time comes for Maddie to choose sides in an intergalactic war, one that seems to be leading her to the place where it all began.
