The story is about a teenage girl, the various situations she faces and how she deals with them. Simi, the protagonist of the story is a young, introvert girl and her life takes a turn when she along with her family, shifts to Kolkata, the City of Joy. Kolkata is not just about the famous structures like the Victoria Memorial or the Howrah Bridge. These are just mere specimens of British architecture which adorn the City, just like a diamond necklace that adorns the beauty of a woman. Kolkata has more to it. It has a heart within. It is full of life. The story is set in the backdrop of this city. It is about the lives of the people, especially the teenagers who live in the city. The story throws light to the feelings and emotions that a teenage girl goes through when her surroundings change.
