Humanity is defeated. The only remaining sliver of civilization are the walled, mountain top cities of Thespia. And Thespia is crumbling fast. The only ones who dare venture into the outside world to find a way to restore humanity's dominance are the Seekers, a once elite regiment now made up of psychotics who got bored of guard duty, thieves, murderers, cheaters, fools, outcasts, glory-mongers, greenhorns, military rejects, poor people looking to escape debt and get a hot meal, orphans, and the occasional good soldier looking to save the world, all put through the wringer in intense training to attempt to make them the best survivalists and fighters in the land. A young thief just trying to put his family back together is forced to join the Seekers and venture to the deadly world below. Will he survive?
