When Keel Johnson heard that searching for his Hanirian would bring war to Argonia, he accepted that his would be a world of loneliness and despair. He placed all thoughts of meeting her from his mind and tried to forget the pain of his life bonds rejection.
Memories of Rayne, his water element life bond continued to pain him, so he went to his homeland of the Snow Elves. He hid in his favoured wolf form, as the agony of Rayne's denial eased when animal instincts took over.
When the prettiest girl approached him with caution and began with to keep him company, he thought nothing of it. She talked for hours until the day she came running to hide. It seemed her parents had dealt with evil to have her and now the evil came for their prize.
Having to come out of his hiding place to protect her, he goes straight to his family. To find them preparing for war strikes him hard, causing his world to implode around him.
War had indeed come to Argonia, but not for Keel seeking out his Hanirian. War came from an old enemy lying dormant for years, waiting for his opportunity to strike.
When Rayne becomes a pawn in the enemy's game, Keel knows what he must do. He must fight for the girl her has always loved. He must fight for the one girl who refused to accept his love. Saving her became his existence.
