In this lighthearted romantic mystery caper, through a series of hilarious mix-ups while trying to improve each other's romantic life, 23-year-old Brigitte, good-intentioned but ditzy, and Evelyn, her classy but nosey mom, end up finding new excitement in their lives and solving a mystery.
The free-spirited, and kind-hearted Brigitte Cavanaugh does not have a care in the world - or a job or a boyfriend. She wants to help mankind but for now, she will settle for helping her mom find new love. Brigitte and her sisters send the reluctant Evelyn, a wealthy and bored widow, on a blind date.
As Brigitte spies on the distinguished gentleman walking into the Water Grill, carrying a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates, she has no clue that this is only the first of her many snooping assignments to come.
She wonders why the date ends so weirdly. And why is there $25 thousand in the chocolate box? And will she ever find a job she can stick with? Will she find a boyfriend or does she have to put a new chapter in her Big Book of Bad Dates? Who is blackmailing John? Who is John? Why has Revlon discontinued its Sunset Burn lipstick?

✬ 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕒𝕣𝕜 & 𝕃𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕊𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤 ✬ There is a crucial moment in one's life that determines the outcome of everything; well, as books and movies would have you believe. But Monica McCaslin didn't think she would ever be one of those people, would ever have one of those moments. Brought up in a small suburb, with everything she could ever ask for, there wasn't much left for her to want. Monica's ordinary life was to go as such- follow her high school sweetheart to college, graduate, get married, have two kids; the cookie cutter life. White picket fence included. What she did not expect was to meet a dark-haired stranger sitting all alone on a park bench, at that very same school she was to attend with said future husband. After a brief conversation, just a handful of words between them, Monica decides to go on a cross-country road trip with him; putting her faith and future in the hands of a stranger. Thinking she'd soon regret her decision and the life she left behind, she realizes she doesn't at all. Free of expectation and a future that she thought was set in stone, she begins to find the woman she was truly meant to be. State by state, with each border they cross, Monica liberates her true self. 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ➃ 𝕠𝕗 ➃ - ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕥𝕖 - ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ This is a work of fiction. A tough-love story, built by insecurities, gets stronger and more passionate in the midst of the ocean. Two different hearts, two different lives, but the same pain. --- Cher McBroom is a young woman with insecurities that goes over her own will. Life has crushed her bad, very bad. She was sadly a victim of a 'natural disaster', as she names it, and this disaster has led to other disasters in her life, creating a rift between her and her future. After years of torture, sadness, and being rejected by all who she thought were her 'friends', she decides to seize her baggage and her pain and embark on an adventure she has never experienced before She wants one thing, loneliness, but a first frail encounter with a young man makes her feel things differently. The mysterious man who wears sunglasses every time is what might be able to allow Cher to live a bit, at least, a tiny bit. Sether, on the other hand, is a young man who has his future in the fog. He doesn't care much about the world, he doesn't care about the women who approach him all the times, he doesn't care about the mockeries he receives regularly because of his hideous sunglasses, he doesn't mind, because he knows the pain, he knows it deeply. Both are solitary birds seeking a shoulder to lean on without even knowing it. They will meet, they will feel the same, they will probably fall passionately in love, but the secrets within them have the keys to their future together. --- Started: 14/11/19 Completed: 5/07/20 Hope you'll love this! ❃ Highest ranking: #62 in Short Story ❃ "I was not expecting to see such a beautiful man in that small cafe on 31st Street. Nor did I expect to fall in love with him from afar. But, being the shy person I was, I just looked at him through the lens of my camera, hoping that one day I would gain enough courage to actually talk to him. But all I really needed were the daily pictures I snapped of him." ❃ ❃ ❃ Camilla Monterio is a photographer. An amazing one at that. But one day, she heads to the small cafe down the street, and spots the most gorgeous boy she's ever seen. Being 17, almost 18, she wants to take a chance and do something she would never do otherwise: she snaps a picture of him. But little does she know, the nerdy boy from her school is slowly trying to get her attention. Will she realize that someone else had feelings for her and forget about Mystery Boy? Or will she keep taking those daily photos of Mystery Boy long enough to realize that maybe it wasn't the best thing to do in the first place?
