Nothing but the truth (KageHina)

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?"

The young man's voice trembled. "I do."

l leaned closer to the tape that rotated with a dull hiss on the worn surface of the table, adjusting the microphone.

"Friday 23rd September, 2016. The time is 19:23. Before questioning begins, do you have anything to confess?" The collar of my shirt bit into my neck, the seat that I sat on hard and uncomfortable. I had only been in this small, cramped room for a few minutes, and already I wanted nothing more than to get out.

His voice cracked when I indicated for him to increase the volume of the quiet mumble. "My name is Hinata Shoyo."

He looked up through the lank red locks of his hair, dark smudges lurking under his tear filled eyes. "And I killed Kageyama Tobio."
