Mel doesn't believe in monsters, which is a problem, because they all believe in her.

Amelia (Mel) Larson is an FBI agent who, with a little help from her psychic abilities, can solve cases that would take months to crack with traditional investigation methods. But then she's assigned a case that bites back.

There's a Dracula killer on the loose in Cleveland Ohio. Staking victims and bleeding them dry. It's up to Mel to put him behind bars, but this time, she's not the only psychic on the case.

Maxime D'Avignon is tracking the killer, too but for reasons that have nothing to do with law and order. When he asks for Mel's help, things go sideways because he's not just psychic, he's undead. Worse, he knows things about Mel that make her a part of his world.

They say the truth will set you free, but it can also bring danger and spill blood...so much blood.

Time didn't matter to her. She got up when the sun did and tried to sleep when the sun went down. because of this seemingly endlessness, she's forgotten her name, she's forgotten her family and she's forgotten everything she use to be. Now she was nothing. Living on the streets of a town begging for money and food from travellers that didn't know who she was, unlike the rest of the town that thought of her as something unnatural even though she doesn't know why. Constantly abused by the townspeople who don't understand her, she is left to die in an alleyway after a horrible run in with three drunk men. She was expecting to die and have her corpse eaten by rats and other vermin. What she didn't expect was to be saved by a woman that was everything but human. "Do you want to live?" This woman asked and when she looked into herself she knew the answer, it came easy through her busted lips. "Yes." From that day on she became something else, something not human, something extraordinary and from that day forth she will serve this woman who saved her life and maybe one day remember her name or be given one by her new Mistress. Maybe one day she'll remember who she was and maybe she'll even find the one person that completes her soul. From that day forth she became a Nightwalker. Completed. To Kill A Warlock, An Urban Fantasy Romance

22 parts Complete Mature

I'm a Regulator-a law-enforcement agent who monitors the creatures of the Netherworld to keep them from wreaking havoc in the mortal world. When a dark-arts warlock is murdered and I was the last person to see him alive, I've got two choices. Either figure out whodunnit before I'm deported back to the Netherworld, or before I become the next victim. So, yeah, it's really more like I've got one choice. Enter Knight Vander, a cocky investigator sent from the Netherworld to work the case with me. Knight is what's called a Loki and he's the first of his kind I've ever come across. He was created by Hades, in Hades' own image and can I just say that Hades must have been pretty hot... Yeah, Knight is the sexiest guy I've ever seen but he's also bossy, demanding, and way too convinced of his own self-importance. As the body count increases, I find myself having to keep a sadistic demon in check all the while fending off the advances of a super powerful vampire, Bram. And dealing with Knight isn't exactly a walk in the park. Sometimes working law enforcement for the Netherworld is a real...
