Casualties

Mae Quinn is a sixteen year-old girl living in a world of war. The rest of her generation, her mother, and the school board all like to ignore the war, as if that will make it go away. But Mae refuses to back down. She can't ignore the war, nor does she want to, and soon enough, they're going to end up losing their lives to this war if they don't respond.
