She put a tube in through Teresa's mouth. "I wonder if she's strong enough to survive this as well."
The nurse nodded quietly. "She'll do anything for Thomas. She always did."
"That's right. The chances are really low but we have to do this."
THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS - So after Teresa was crushed and left to die I was really disappointed. To me, Thomas has become so selfish and I quite don't like him as a character after all that. And let's not talk about that page on the book where Newt's existence is blown off!
So here is an alternative ending - (it contains my review on all the books in the series as well!)

WICKED told them the Trial was over -no more tests, no more lies, but Frankie had been deceived enough to know that the statement alone could never be true. Truthfully, she wanted to die. She wanted to leave this cruel world of being experimented and played with too many times to count. Until she came back from the brink of death for the second time, with more names of her friends written as dead instead of alive. Now, she just wanted to run away. She wanted to live on a peaceful place, somewhere WICKED could never go, with Minho and all of her friends -Newt, Reggie, Frypan, Clint, Stephen, Thomas, even those girls she had only met properly once.
