Three months have passed since Riley and Xavier decided to go the way their lives were meant. After finally managing to be allowed to go to one of the meetings between Heaven and Hell Riley finds out about a demon who's been killing those from Hell. But as she digs deeper and deeper into things she finds out the killings are only a scratch on the surface. Below something much, much more disastrous is brewing, and it's starting to seem like she may be the only one able to stop it, again.
But that's not the only problem. Riley finds herself fighting with the very darkness living inside her. And the more blood that's shed by her own hands, the more it grows, threatening to consume her completely. Can she save her friend, the world and herself? Or will she have to sacrifice to keep the world from plunging into chaos?
