Kind Love (Book Two in the Depp Movie Fanfic Series)

Our main Girl is Mari. She's on her way to a recreational campground with her mother and sister, Becky, when their car breaks down on the outskirts of a local, nearby town. They set up camp, and Mari rides her bike into town to check it out. At the local supermarket is where she meets Gilbert Grape, a handsome, long haired local with a mentally disabled brother. She slowly falls for him, and finds herself visiting the supermarket every day, wishing she could somehow build up the courage to talk to him. She finally does, and invites him to come to her house, but when he meets Becky the two grow suspiciously close. If Mari wants to keep her love, she might just have to stay in town with Gilbert when her family goes away.
