"Mother, no!" Ryder shouted as tears streamed down his face, all his work withering away in the burning embers of the fire as his mother ripped each page out of the book, crumbling and tossing them into the inferno as if they were nothing more than mere trifles. Watching the horrid scene, the Prince fell onto his knees, kneeling in front of the fireplace, witnessing all of this occur, not even thinking about stopping the Queen. All he thought about was his journal, now just ashes laying before him.
