***WARNING: This story is explicitly for mature audiences. This story will contain mature scenes that may possibly be disturbing to some readers, such as; death, explicit romance, explicit violence, vulgar language, self-harm, mental illness, etc. If you are easily offended, please do not read. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew there was something about me that was very different from the others around me. Disconnected from my religious family and full of ignorance pertaining the outside world, I slipped into a pit of depression and self hatred. I didn't know anyone else like me except for my best friend, Jeremy, who was in fact, one of my only friends; but my family absolutely hated him. I'm sure you can assume why. I grew up being told that what I secretly adored was wrong, that it was just a phase, or a way to rebel against nature, so I shrugged it off and tried to pus it to the back of my mind. Funny how that worked out. However, once I entered junior year in high-school, I found her; the light I was looking for, my other half, in the most unique and unexpected way I could have ever possibly imagined. Life is not easy, nor is it simple. There are always obstacles you need to get over and things preventing you from being happy. Charlotte is a 17 year old girl who understands that. She is struggling to get over the obstacles and doesn't know if she'll make it. ..... Warning: This story contains description of self-harm in almost every chapter. I didn't include a warning at the beginning of every chapter because this whole story is about mental health so anything may cause triggers. SIDE NOTE: This short story is currently undergoing MAJOR editing! The earlier chapters might not be consistent with the later chapters but the plot remains the same! The book will be all ready very soon! (Also I am very that my book description is not very good, I promise the story is much better than described)
