Was it my choice to love Maya, even though she's three years younger than me? Or was it the age difference that I used as an excuse because I'm in love with her?
The GMW gang is in their senior year of high school. Maya finally feels like her life is together: her grades and SAT scores were excellent, and her heart is set on Juilliard. Until one night, a couple months before high school graduation, she runs into Josh. They haven't spoken much since they agreed to play the long game, but feelings are reignited. Will Josh still be willing to play the long game? Will Maya?

Lastly Maya also meets the best friends; Lucas Friar and Joshua Matthews, also known as the bad boy duo. Every girl wants them and every boy wants to be them. They're well known within Abigail Adams High School. An incident made Maya encounter Joshua Matthews, making her life make a 360 turn. Maya and Josh are a couple you'd never think would happen. Maya Hart; Free spirited, rebellious, smart, creative, goofy, troublesome. Broken. Maya loved the Matthews family; they were whole hearted kind people that did the best for everyone. They practically raised her. Treated her like a daughter, as well as their own daughter Riley Matthews. The greatest friend Maya could have ever asked for. Then, Maya meets Joshua, Riley's teenage uncle. Free spirited, kind, smart, charming, funny, determined. Joshua sole goal was to get into collage and get a career. Maybe meet a few girls, date a little bit. He never expected for a witty blonde to be chasing after him. Nor did he expect his thoughts to constantly wander to her. Maya thought of Josh as a distraction. She didn't realize she was falling till it was too late. Josh thought what him and Maya had was a game. He didn't realize that spending time with her would change that. The only problem. Josh was three years older then Maya. What happens when the pair find themselves spending more time together? What happens when they begin to learn more about each other? Hey guys, So this is my Josh and Maya story. This is the first time I'm doing something like this and hopefully I'm never gonna be as obsessed about a ship again in my life :D. This story takes place throughout the time from the end of the show. Maya and her friends are in their Sophomore year in High School while Josh is a Freshman at NYU. By the end of the story, Maya will be starting her senior year of Highschool and Josh will be a junior at College or so. I tried to combine the Disney sentiment of the show with more adolescent content. So there will be a bit more intense stuff here and there. But the first few chapters will be more light and modest so bare with me please and give it a chance ;). Also, English is not my first language so if there is some weird wording/grammar/syntax and misspelling, I apologize in advance;). Hope you will all enjoy! Update on Januray 2023: I just finished my major construction on the story. I didnt change the plot nor the sweet scenes between Josh and Maya but I did change the stuff after the plot because I made it too dramatic in the first place.
