Blizzard's first memory was of his mother being shot before his eyes, and being taken by the humans. He lived the rest of his life in an illegal dog-fighting ring, forced to kill after kill and do the biddings of his human masters. Depression and anxiety pile on top of the young wolf, and all he wants to do is to return to his home and be a free, wild wolf. Fury is a one footed Raven, struggling with the inner turmoil of loosing a limb and having to face life without it. Resorting to scavenging, Fury's sanity lies at the end of a very thin tether. He's trying to reteach himself the ways of life but part of his spirit is gone and he fears he will never be the same and shall die a lonely death. But then, a chance encounter leads the Sorrowful, Mourning Raven to the Despairing and Hopeless Blizzard, and an unlikely friendship is struck up. The two manage to escape together, seeking the icy haven of Blizzard's birth, where he hopes to find his pack. But it shall not be easy. Both animals are suffering from the scars the past has left on them, both physically and mentally, and they have a long and arduous journey ahead. Travelling across country and chased by humans, their path shall not be easy. A whole storm of trouble lies ahead, and it shall be one wild ride. A moving tale about the power of friendship, the cruelty of humankind, learning to love and live through the eyes of another; and most importantly, finding your true home.
