"We may be twins, but that doesn't mean I like her."

Meet Adam and Avery. While they may look practically the same, they are completely different people who live completely different lives.

Adam is the captain of the soccer team; the popular guy that girls can't help for but swoon for when he smiles. Guys want to be him; girls want to date him and he loves every second of it.

Then there's Avery.

She works hard to get good grades, unlike her brother who parties every weekend, she prefers to spend her nights in her dorm room with her best friends watching and quoting Disney movies.

Due to events in their pasts, Adam and Avery most certainly do not get along.

So what happens when Avery is given the opportunity of a lifetime to finally make her brother as miserable as he's made her and all she has to date is date his arch enemy?

As sweet as sugar. An organized, picture-perfect daughter and student. You thought. So what? She can be a little clumsy, who isn't sometimes? She's a sarcastic, likable person who loves to speak her mind, except she doesn't. She a quiet one until you get to know her. She helps her mom with organizing and setting up games and school events for the school and she's basically just known as the principal's daughter. Alex Ryder. As hot as spice. He's the captain of the soccer, lacrosse and swim team. He's known for his hot looks and player ways. He's a dick. But he's hot so, you know, girls go crazy. Here and there. Quite literally when you look here and there you will see him with one girl. A new one every week, I'm telling ya. Very cocky and devilishly charming, I must say. The sharp jawline, pretty eyes, messy but hot hair kind of guy, you get the picture. Sugar and spice don't mix well, especially these two. They despise each other but often end up dealing with each other while organizing games and events. She's got a boyfriend and he shuffles girls every week. Everything's good until she gets cheated on. Spoiler alert, her boyfriend decides to cheat on her with Alex's temporary girlfriend. Once again, the two are put together, but this time it's planned. This time he's her 'boyfriend.' This time he's helping. This time sugar and spice are perfect together because, with the right amount of sugar and the right amount of spice, you get the perfect mix for a perfect recipe.

*Book one of the Counting on Hockey series* To Meredith, watching hockey was torture. But her sister was a hockey player. She wanted nothing to do with hockey, even thinking about it made her angry. But she had her reasons. Starting 10th grade at a new school, meant hockey was everything there. The whole school was obsessed with hockey. The division 1 boys team is the best in the state. Forced to go to hockey games with her sister, and going to school with these hockey 'freaks' is going to be horrible. Or so she thought. But she meets Cole, center for the high school team. Hockey won't be the same for her. Or for him. *Some NHL players in this story are real players, others are made-up* Final edit: 3/10/2022
