Until, that is, your weapon, and best friend gets hurt in a battle and is forced to leave the school due to major..."injuries". Uh oh. A meister as inexperienced as you can't fight without a weapon. But Soul, one of your classmates volunteers to be your temporary partner, just until you find another. "But what about your partner?" You ask, honored but confused by Soul's offer. "Maka will be away for awhile," He tells you, "Her and Spirit are going on vacation. So I'm free 'till they get back." And so a new partnership was born!
