This is a book about two teenagers.
They are complete opposites, one - Simon Minter - is the schools favorite, always being put forward to meet the important people or to compete in competitive competitions of all sorts, amazing grades and endless kindness to give all changes when he meets the other.
Olajide Olatunji is the complete opposite to Simon, the school dreads him and is always ignored by important people, never being offered a spot on a competitive team of any sort.
One day the two end up in detention together, hitting it off, both know they'd be judged if they hung out together - although JJ probably doesn't care, knowing no one would dare talk to him rudely - so they take it in to there own hands and make sure to have detentions regularly together, but what will happen when things reach a extreme.
Simon will have to face things he's never had too; fights, gossip, bullying...
and so will JJ: He'll have to face that he likes the teachers pet.
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
